The first step toward meaningful change is gaining a deeper understanding of the many domains that shape our lives. Emotional well-being does not exist in isolation—it is influenced by our physical health, relationships, work, spirituality, environment, personal beliefs, and sense of purpose. Therapy provides an opportunity to explore these life domains, identify areas of imbalance, and uncover the underlying factors that may be contributing to distress or preventing personal growth.

As a therapist with nearly three decades of experience in the mental health field, I believe that every individual possesses the capacity for resilience, healing, and transformation. My role is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients can safely explore challenges, discover strengths, and develop practical strategies for creating lasting change.

A central principle of my work is the concept of grit—the ability to persevere through difficulties, maintain commitment to personal goals, and continue growing despite setbacks. Life's challenges can often leave us feeling overwhelmed, discouraged, or disconnected from our strengths. Through therapy, clients learn to cultivate resilience, build emotional endurance, and develop the confidence needed to navigate obstacles while remaining aligned with their values and aspirations.

My counseling approach is grounded in unconditional positive regard, dignity, empathy, and respect. I recognize that each person's story is unique, and I tailor treatment to meet the specific needs and goals of the individual or couple. Drawing from an eclectic framework, I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Humanistic Therapy, Psychodynamic Theory, and Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT) to help clients gain insight, challenge limiting beliefs, improve emotional regulation, and strengthen interpersonal relationships.

Since beginning my career in 1996 and maintaining licensure for over 17 years, I have worked across multiple facets of wellness, including physical, emotional, intellectual, social, spiritual, environmental, and occupational health. This holistic perspective allows me to view clients as whole persons rather than focusing solely on symptoms or diagnoses.

I also have experience with animal-assisted interventions and understand the powerful role that human-animal connections can play in emotional healing. Whether you are interested in obtaining certification for a support animal or exploring animal-assisted therapeutic options, I can help guide you toward resources and programs that fit your unique needs.

Whether you are facing anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, life transitions, grief, stress, or a desire for greater personal fulfillment, therapy can serve as a pathway toward greater self-awareness, resilience, and well-being. Together, we can identify your strengths, build grit and perseverance, and create a meaningful plan for achieving the life you envision.

I utilize a whole-person and clinical approach to treatment with techniques and theories from Alfred Adler. This form of therapy is positive, humanistic, and integrative that focuses on social interaction and individual growth and is based on the theories of Alfred Adler. This approach emphasizes the need for connection, belonging, and overcoming feelings of inferiority by learning new skills and behaviors that will help overcome many problems that clients face. This therapy can be adapted to the specific needs of the individual.
